TOOLS

Web Optimization ( top )

It is a common myth on the world wide web is that by simply submitting a web site to several search engines (or even hundreds) will not bring thousands of visitors. However, you don't need hundreds of engines to improve your traffic. Most of the search engine traffic to most sites comes from about ten major engines.  Web optimization allows your website to make maximum use of your content, domain name, keywords, meta tags, and page load times in order to achieve a higher web site position in in a search query.

Search Engines - Optimized ( top )

What is Link Popularity? HTML- Basics For Search Engine Optimization ( top )

If other sites are linking to your site, it must be good; search engines therefore feel that good sites deserve a boost in rankings (when all else is equal). This makes a lot of sense. People link to good sites, not bad ones.

Page Rank Does Not Equal Link Popularity ( top )

An important note *** Google PageRank is not the same thing as link popularity. Page rank ( PR) is actually a subset of link popularity. Page rank focuses strictly on the quantity and popularity of links, whereas link popularity adds quality  into the equation. Unfortunately, most people mistakenly use the terms "link popularity" and "PageRank " interchangeably, this just confuses the issue further!

Web Placement ( top )

It is the objective of every website owner to be found on the first page of every query search. It is seldom accomplished, but can be easily done if you understand the concepts!

WEB POSITIONING... I do not pay for any position, but because I know how to achieve position... I have achieved the results to keep our site in the top of the search engines.

Where Do Reciprocal Links Come In? ( top )

The other popular misconception that they *must* have links that are reciprocated on their site (e.g., "you-link-to-me-and-I'll-link-to-you"-type links). Still others are saying that reciprocal links are dead and you won't gain *any* benefit from them.

Both are wrong. You certainly don't need reciprocal links, but you can if you want. It's links pointing to your site that are the helpful ones.  You need to do what's right for your image, site visitors!  So it is smart to exchange links with other real estate professionals and affiliate businesses to get more web traffic, higher site ranking, and closed deals!

How To Get Linked Without Even Trying ( top )

The best  way to get links (but the most time-consuming) is to simply have the best site on the Internet in your specific niche. If your site is well written, provides useful information, and is constantly updated, you often won't have to seek out links at all. Other sites will link to yours of their own volition.

Pay For Click (PPC) or Pay for Inclusion (PPI) ( top )

Since the Internet is our new medium for marketing homes, real estate and services that we once marketed via: print, classifieds and other print mediums... we must understand it. We must comprehend that advertising on the Internet encompasses a broad spectrum, and know how it really works before we spend money on it.  Pay Per Click, Pay for Inclusion, and placed position for a fee encompasses banner advertising, pop-ups, PPC, Cost-per-Clicks, and search engine optimization. Each of these components and tools have their own issues which can be considered beyond the reasonable reach of every business owner. Banner ads and pop-ups are ignored to a large degree by most consumers. They are a nuisance! For the most part, Pay-per-Click and Cost-per-Click advertising are used by the those who for one reason or another are unsuccessful in reaching a reasonable level of positioning in the search engine results. In other words, they are used by those who's web sites are not optimized, tagged or indexed and not found in a search engine search!

Pay for click does not make an under performing web site better...it is just that now your site can be found! If your site is currently poorly optimized and does not reflect who you are and what you offer it will remain that way, and will still be poorly optimized afterwards. Another downfall is PPC, PPI are like a drug addiction.  It can be very costly endeavor, and when you stop paying for PPC, PPI your web position disappears and so does your web traffic! So in that sense alone it should be made clear that one should never disregard Search Engine Optimization SEO in place of PPC.  That is a tactical mistake, and does no share the the benefits and rewards of a SEO marketing strategy.

Web Points to Ponder!  Cost Effective Tips, Innovative Thoughts, and Tools. ( top )

  • IDX Vs. VOW's

  • Pros and Cons

  • Traditional Search Engine Optimization VS. Pay Per Click

  • OpenTracker.Net  Opentracker is a web site tracking tool built for website analysis. Analyze web statistics and monitor your visitors in real-time & online.  This is a great free trial code to place in your website if you are paying for Pay For Click. It shows you who is really visiting your site, or if you are just being taken advantage of!

  • Bookmark Site or Save as a Favorite. To avoid costly Pay Per Click a smart idea is to have save this page as a Favorite or Bookmark so that users that have found your site can return without costing you extra monies from your Pay Per Click Budget.  The easiest way to accomplish this is to have your web pages scripted with simple HTML code. Bookmark Html Code or use a Send-A-Link.Com script line of Htm code that allows user to Bookmark or send to a friend relative or associate.

Favicons: What is a Favicon?  A Favicon is simply a Favorite Icon!  It is a webmasters professional  tool that allows the site owner to promote site freely, and offers quick ease of use for the web viewer to save your site as a favorite or bookmark it.  It is a visual reference point. When a web page is saved as a bookmark or favorite a graphic is displayed in those folders, and in the web browser address bar. It is a web Address Bar Favicongraphic in .ico format that allows you to brand your site, and set yourself apart from the competition.  This Graphic is stored in 16 x 16 pixel size, and can be a corporate logo, a Realtor Symbol, or custom designed logo. (Example of A Favicon As Viewed in Address Bar)

(Save this page to you favorites and reload.  A graphic should appear in you Favorites and url address bar when the page is reloaded. )
