REAL ESTATE META TAGS FOR BETTER WEB POSITION
• The World Wide Web makes it easy to market your real estate services to the world 24/ 7, but it is important to know the rules to maximize the return of your web page, before you submit! Before you submit, you should do an pre-analysis of your web site. It should include: images size, page load time as viewed from different connections, links, keywords, title, graphic content, description, errors, and web placement should include the following:
Your real estate web site should be reviewed to make certain it is search engine friendly, error free, and optimized to load on various computers, with different connection times. You should also review your web monthly for errors for missing and broken links. So, before you submit your site, it is wise to evaluate your meta tags, body text, title, and other important areas of your web site, links, and pages. Make sure you have the correct targeted keywords and phrases to better position your site. This is a crucial first step in the process. Don't repeat the same keyword more than 3 times to be safe - otherwise the whole lot is ignored and your page might even be given low priority or even not included at all in the search engines. Also, don't list your repeated keywords next to each other, it's easier to see that you're spamming. For example, if you have 3 keywords do it like this:
Restrict your META description to 150-200 characters or 15 words (including spaces). This is the optimum length to have the whole description displayed on all the search engines, without it being truncated. A META description does not require keywords! Just make it appealing to a human. This text is what's going to convince them to click your listing, so think carefully about it. Have a different META description for each page on your site. Keep each META tag on a single line of your HTML code, without line breaks. It is a good idea to use some of the same meta words in your title, keywords, and description for better web placement, but your textual content of that page should use the same words also. Describe your Web site, and content... not your company. Internet users are searching for answers! Their mindset is research! They do not want to find an "Ego site" or "Brochure-ware" that is all about you! They want to find answers that satisfy them. Internet viewers have needs! Fulfill them! Always tell the user why they should visit your site, and don't disappoint a web visitor once they arrive!
